MOT Tester/Technician

Hours:    
The Company's normal opening times are

Monday to Friday 9am to 6pm,

Every other Saturday 9am to 4pm. Working hours to be discussed at interview.

Salary:

£35k - £45k per year

Requirements:

  • Proven experience as a Motor Vehicle Technician or similar role.

  • Diagnostic and problem-solving skills.

  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

  • Excellent communication and customer service skills.

  • Valid driver's license.

Job Responsibilities:    

  • All MOT Testers must hold a valid MOT Tester licence which is issued by the DVSA

  • To carry out MOT test to DVSA standard and input the details on the DVSA computer system

  • Perform routine maintenance and repairs on a variety of cars and some vans.

  • Diagnose and troubleshoot mechanical issues using diagnostic tools and equipment.

  • Conduct inspections and assessments to identify any potential problems.

  • Vehicle servicing, oil changes, and brake inspections/replacements.

  • Repair or replace faulty components and parts.

  • Communicate effectively with customers, providing clear explanations of repairs and recommendations for additional services when necessary.

  • Work collaboratively with our office team to ensure efficient workflow and timely completion of work orders.
